Can Christians Kill antichrist's forces during the
Tribulation to avoid being arrested for forced-conversion?
A Reader Writes:
Hello again, I hope this finds you well and whole.
I'll get straight to the point. There is too much information on
your website for me to assimilate, and if that's the case I'm forced
to admit that there must also be way too much information in the
Bible for me to assimilate. So I just have a question or two to pose
to you, questions that I for some reason can not answer to my own
satisfaction "There is a way that seems right to man but in the end
leads to destruction" [Prov 16:25] probably
some of the truest words in the Book.
When "they" attempt to arrest me in the end, my instincts tell me to
fight and to kill, I have always believed myself to be a warrior,
and to fight seems right to me. I have no illusions of winning,
that's never been important to me, truth be told, I'm in kind of a
hurry for it to all be over. My concern lies in my following logic:
If certain rights are given to us by God, then it seems to me that
to allow human beings to take those rights from me without a fight
is akin to saying that these humans have more power than God, make
sense? so I just need to know: When I get to the gates after
fighting Satan's human servants and possibly killing a few, will God
say I'm a murderer and tell me I can't come in?
Answer:
Hello. You can kill them if they try to take you to go
worship the beast:
Revelation 13:11-18
11 And I beheld another beast
[antichrist/satan] coming up out of the earth; and he had two
horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,
and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the
first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from
heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those
miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying
to them that dwell on the earth, that they
[evil men on Earth] should make an
image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the
beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause
that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be
killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or
the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number
of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six
hundred threescore and six. KJV
If you don't worship this beast, they will kill
you; therefore, fighting to the death (theirs or yours) is no sin. And
for those who take this mark of the beast and worship antichrist/satan,
God shall first punish:
Revelation 16:1-2
16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the
seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath
of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth;
and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men
which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped
his image. KJV
Then, a few verses down from the above Scripture we
see that they do not repent of this (indicating that even at that late
time they could repent):
Revelation 16:9-11
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name
of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented
not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the
beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed
their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and
their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
KJV
Revelation 19:20-21
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that
wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had
received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with
brimstone.
21 And the remnant
[the remainder] were
slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which
sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with
their flesh. KJV
Endtime Christianity is in big trouble. "We" are so
docile and have been made so complacent, that "we" will do anything that
we are told. "We" don't have any fight in us, "we" have been dumbed-down
to believe that we are a walking mat for every dead-soul antichristian
on the planet. "We" even go along with them taking Crosses
off of water
towers, prayer out of school, and the forbidding of us to mention our
Lord Jesus Christ's name even! And we didn't bat an eye when the International
Judaics replaced prayer-in-school with condom-handout-day and gay
"tolerance" and false-god worshipers "tolerance" training. We are
SO set up to fall! Like the frog in the
pot of water, we are slowly being numbed till we die; only, "we" are
dying from within not without. If God is looking for Christian warriors on
the Earth, He may have to look very hard to find a fit handful
nowadays.
Many of our passive and saltless brethren will throw
the below Scripture in your face, not understanding it themselves nor
allowing you to understand it, and say: "See, we are to be docile,
for we aren't to fight in the flesh. Just keep letting satan and his
human henchmen make advance after advance until there is nothing left of
us or the glorious and only God-approved religion founded upon the
sacrifice of Jesus Christ." Ok, a little dramatic,
admittedly; but it is in effect what they are allowing to happen to our
endtime Christianity.
2 Corinthians 10:1-5
10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and
gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but
being absent am bold toward you:
2 But I beseech you, that I may not be
bold when I am present with that
confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against
some, which think of us as
if we walked according to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after
the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth
itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ; KJV
Okay, that's Paul and those who setup the early
church; he used words in the above like "we," "I," and "our". Well,
that was 2,000 years ago. But what about us who shall stare
down the beast and all his human minions (which shall set up, head, and
control the first beast, the NWO)? Are we not
to "fight in the flesh" at that time? At
the time of great oppression and persecution? Let's see what Jesus said about fighting in
the flesh:
Luke 22:35-39
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip,
and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him
take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no
sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be
accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for
the things concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said
unto them, It is enough.
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of
Olives; and his disciples also followed him. KJV
Why did Jesus tell us to get a defensive weapon?
Could it be that He expects that we shall need it? He didn't tell them
to even sell their very clothes if they have to, to buy a sword, just to
pick figs! A sword is to slay an enemy with.
Who are the enemies of Christians and Christ and God in the Great
Tribulation? Well, if one of 'em comes after you, put the sword to
them. :o)
In the below, when the Jews came to arrest Christ to
bring Him to trial for His life, one of the Apostles (in John 18:10 this
Apostle is identified as Peter) took out a sword and swung it at one of
the enemy, slicing off his ear. Jesus then tells them to allow them to
take Him into custody "Suffer ye thus far".
Jesus puts the man's ear back on but never admonishes Peter as though he
had done something unacceptable; but only that the time was not yet for
this kind of action:
Luke 22:47-54
47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was
called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near
unto Jesus to kiss him.
48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man
with a kiss?
49 When they which were about him saw what would follow,
they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high
priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus
far [allow them at this time].
And he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the
temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as
against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no
hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high
priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. KJV
Why did Jesus tell them to allow this arrest to
happen? Jesus explains it in a parallel passage in John 18:
John 18:6-13
6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went
backward, and fell to the ground.
7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of
Nazareth.
8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek
me, let these go their way:
9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which
thou gavest me have I lost none.
10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the
high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The
servant's name was Malchus.
11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the
sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink
it?
12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews
took Jesus, and bound him,
13 And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to
Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. KJV
Jesus was telling Peter that this must be
accomplished. Peter didn't understand, as he didn't understand once
before in Mark 8:29-35 where Jesus then had to rebuke Peter most
sternly:
Mark 8:29-35
29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter
answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many
things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and
scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to
rebuke him [told Jesus that he didn't
want Him to die].
33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples,
he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou
savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of
men.
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after
me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;
but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's,
the same shall save it. KJV
Jesus didn't say in the above
John 18 Scripture to Peter regarding
the sword: "Hey, what the heck are you doing with that thing!"
He simply told Peter to holster the sword for now. He didn't tell him
to throw it away; nor, to the great dismay of many of today's Judeo-Christian
play-clergy, did Jesus chastise Peter for not loving his enemy. :o)
And the only reason that Jesus replaced the man's
severed ear is because if He hadn't, then they would have arrested Peter
for resisting arrest and attacking a guard―and
Jesus had yet much work for Peter to do.
Below Jesus states that it was not yet time for His
servants to fight. He didn't say that there never would be a
time for them to fight; in fact, He stated that had that time been the
endtime, where His kingdom was to fully be brought in―then
they would have fought:
John 18:33-38
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called
Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did
others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief
priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my
kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I
should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom
not from hence [here].
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then?
Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I
born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear
witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my
voice.
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this,
he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him
no fault at all. KJV
Jesus understood what nobody else at the time knew:
that this was to be His first of two Advents, and that there would be a
Second Advent, wherein:
Revelation 11:15
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in
heaven , saying, The kingdoms of this world are become
the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign
for ever and ever. KJV
That is the time that you are (soon to be) living
in, it immediately follows the (soon to be) Great Tribulation.
However, if you fight, be prepared to die. Not that
you necessarily will die, but that in all combat there is a chance of
being killed. Many of out brethren, Christian women and men, shall go
into captivity, being delivered up and killed. Some shall betray Christ
to their own hurt. But some shall fight, and of these fighters some
(many) shall die. But it is no sin to fight satan's henchmen (who our
beguiled and corrupt clergy today call "the chosen of God"), and it
isn't murder to kill a son of a [serpent] who is trying to arrest you and
make you worship the beast system and the head of
it, antichrist/satan! These same evil men shall kill many of your
family and friends. Have no pity on them; for, their real troubles
begin after they die; for, then they meet the One whom they persecuted.
Below we see that some shall go into this captivity
of satan and some shall fight it even to the death. There is no
admonition in the Scripture not to fight, just that you be
cognizant of the fact that if you try to fight satan's
beast-controlled world at that time, you most likely will die trying.
Revelation 13:6-10
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his
name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to
overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names
are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity:
he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword.
Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
KJV
Understand that for them to bring you to worship
their image of the beast, they must necessarily arrest you. Many shall
neither submit to worshiping the beast, nor submit to any illegal arrest
(most likely some trumped-up tenth-generation "Hate
Speech/Thought/Crime Law" like those that the International Judaics are
currently silently instituting world-wide with alarming efficiency and
ever-expanding scope). Well, They aren't done yet! What will you do
when faced with arrest for simply believing upon Jesus Christ? Think
that it can't happen, huh? Well, it happened before, so what makes you
think that the International Judaics can't do it again?
Have you forgotten that before Paul was converted by
Jesus Christ, that he was a practitioner of the Jewish Talmud religion
(Judaism, which HATES Jesus Christ); and how
he rounded up whole families of Christians to be delivered to the jaws
of the lion for not denying Jesus Christ; or better stated, for
believing in Jesus Christ. If one of those early Christians would
have killed Paul to keep him from arresting their family―do
you think that they would have been sinning in doing so. No way! We
always have the right under the Bible to protect ourselves and our's. Being
a Christian does not make you into a free-kill zone. Jesus makes a
curious statement that you, the reader who posted this Q&A, may
understand:
Luke 12:49
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be
already kindled? KJV
And those who die resisting the mark of the beast
and resisting satan/antichrist and his human NWO helpers are to be
rewarded:
Revelation 20:4-6
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given
unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the
witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his
mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years
were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first
resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall
be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years. KJV
Personally, I'd rather die fighting on the field of
battle than to die under a guillotine with my hands tied. Because
worshipping the beast system and satan (antichrist) is not an option for
me―so they shall seek my life.
Yours too if you aren't planning to worship the Talmud's god antichrist
anytime soon.
However, the way that I look at
it, is that if my Lord moves me to not fight, and
inspires me to go willingly―then I
shall. For, my life is His. He may preserve it, He may let it be taken―I
leave that in His able hands. Nevertheless, if He lets me fight them,
then I shall fight them. I'm fighting them as we speak by writing of
their plans. You're fighting them by learning of their plans, becoming
wise as those serpents, and teaching others. But understand that they
shall come after those like us first before the great oppressions and
persecutions begin for the general body of Christendom. Because they
know that if they don't catch you unawares, then you will be awfully
hard to take.
That is the purpose of the
"Patriot Acts" and the extreme security and surveillance and data-mining
operations in the US and the other Christian Western Nations―not
some bogey-man wholly ineffective so-called "terrorists." The
"terrorists" who destroyed on 911 were working hand in hand with the
hidden government over GW Bush, Tony Blair, and all other nations of
consequence. Another subject for another day―just
for now think, Hegelian Dialectic: Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis.
In other words, they create a problem, create a solution that is too
extreme, then have "us compromise" on a solution that is not as extreme
as the first solution, but more extreme that the beginning point.
Then they do it all over again, steadily gaining ground and moving their
agendas forward. Thus and thus they are doing with with the Gay
Marriage issue:
Hegelian Dialectic in the Homosexual Marriage
Movement
First they bring the issue to
the forefront with the Texas Sodomy law being struck down, then they
propose Gay Marriages, we balk, and then "we compromise" on Gay Civil
Unions. Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis; i.e.,
Problem-Solution-Compromise. They would have never gotten Gay
Civil Unions had they not attempted to gain Gay Marriage―and
we all, like lemmings, thought that we won some great victory in
striking down Gay Marriage. Yet, they have all the rights of a
married couple now, including insurance and retirement benefits.
And if we say that their unions are evil, we are guilty of a Hate Crime.
And they're not done yet! To them, this is just another round in
the fight; to us, we thought that it was over. Hardy. It is
only a matter of time until they wear us out and install full-blown Gay
Marriage, and force the Christian churches by law to perform them.
The way that they are writing
the laws and the "Hate-Crime" laws, there won't be any legal grounds
pretty soon to deny Gays the "right" to marry in their perverse lifestyles.
Ten years ago you wouldn't have even stuttered when I called it
perversion―but now they have you
thinking differently, don't "they"? You ("we" all) are being
changed by satan's minions on this earth. This has so much more to
do than with Gay Marriage. In fact, when the International
Judaics, who are now pushing for Gay Rights for the express purpose of
bringing chaos and disorder
to our civilization, come into their kingdom (the kingdom of antichrist),
they will then ban Homosexuality (under the forth Noahide Law "Do not
be sexually immoral") for all but themselves [the Jewish Talmud
allows for sodomy between Jewish men and boys]. Do an Internet
search under The Seven Noahide Laws (Jewish "laws" for all Gentiles who want to
live in the Jew's new world order). See
Merry Christmas,
and OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!
by Carol A. Valentine.
That there is a hidden power
which controls this world has been known by the elite for a long time,
though kept from the public's eye:
"the world is governed by very
different personages from what is imagined by those who are not
behind the scenes". -- Conningsby,
the Judaic British ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli (real name
Israel).
"Some of the biggest men in the United States,
in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody,
are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere
so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete,
so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when
they speak in condemnation of it". -- The (one
of many [secret] Judaic [Crypto-Jews] ex-Presidents of the United States), Woodrow
Wilson.
"The individual is handicapped
by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot
believe it exists." -- FBI ex-Director J.
Edgar Hoover.
You (we all) must pray to the Lord to show us the
way that He wishes us each individually to act. When you pray to Him
for guidance, and listen to what He touches
your heart with, then you can't help but doing the right thing. We all
must pray in that troublous time when the storm that took our Lord, His
Apostles, and the early Martyrs―is burst upon us. Until then, do not
physically assault satan's earthly minions―they have purpose.
(And you will be arrested and therefore out of "the picture.") And they
shall learn a whole new and deeper meaning of the word "assault" when
they fall into the hands of the Ever Living God Almighty whom they
persecute! A word to satan's earthly servants (who are with us today):
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of
the living God." (Hebrews 10:31); and again: "Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord...." (2 Cor 5:11a). Perhaps we
should read both those Scriptures more fully:
Hebrews 10:28-31
28 He that despised Moses' law [Old
Testament] died without mercy under two
or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought
worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted
the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy
thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I
will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his
people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God. KJV
2 Corinthians 5:8-11
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from
the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present
[alive] or absent
[fleshly death], we
may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ; that every one
may receive the things done in his body
[no Millennium "second chances"!],
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we
persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust
also are made manifest in your consciences. KJV
In closing: I know that the below is not a Bible
quote, and that it is secular; however, it is so appropriate here to
this, I feel, that I simply must post it. It is a quote from the
Scottish resistance fighter and martyr William Wallace (1260/78-
23 August 1305), made famous in the Mel Gibson movie
Braveheart. I will leave you with the below, which some
Christians ought to absorb and apply to their own allowing of the
international Judaics to destroy and outlaw Christianity one step at a
time:
William Wallace:
I am William Wallace! And I see a whole army of my country men,
here, in defiance of tyranny. You've come to fight as free men, and
free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you
fight?
Soldier:
Against that? No, we'll run, and we'll live.
William Wallace:
Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least for a
while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be
willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one
chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that
they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!
Peace to you in
Christ Jesus.

A reader asks: "Were
there any black people in the Bible, and were they cursed?"
A Reader Asks:
Were
there any black people in the bible and were they
cursed?
Hello. yes, there are Black people in the Bible. We
see them first here:
Genesis 1:26-31
26 And God said, Let
us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man
in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and
God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the
earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that
moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I
have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of
all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree
yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the
earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that
creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every
green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing
that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. KJV
Then we see Black people in the below Scriptures
(they are called Ethiopians, and their land
called Ethiopia in the Bible):
Numbers 12:1
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian
woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
KJV
2 Chronicles 14:9
9 And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host
of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto
Mareshah. KJV
Jeremiah 13:23
23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then

You asked if the Black people are cursed? No, they
most certainly are not. That teaching is false. God loves His Black
children (as well as His children of all races); in fact, in the below
Scripture God made it a point to have Christ's apostle Phillip make a
special trip to teach the Gospel to a Black man and to Baptize him into
Jesus Christ―God saved that man―hardly
something He would do had He cursed the Black people:
Acts 8:25-38
25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the
Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many
villages of the Samaritans.
26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and
go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto
Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an
eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who
had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to
worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the
prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to
this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet
Esaias [Isaiah],
and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he
desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as
a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer,
so opened he not his mouth:
33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall
declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom
speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture,
and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water:
and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be
baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou
mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ
is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down
both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized
him. KJV
Peace to you in Christ Jesus.

A reader asks if Moses (and Jesus) was a Black man
A Reader Writes:
Hi Nick, ... The author of this site brings
scripture in that proves the true Israelites, and Mary, Joseph,
Yahoshua [Jesus Christ], were black skin
people of Africa................more of his teachings further
explains that we are to call God Yah. It all looks plausible as well
as believable. What is confusing is his teaching that we are to let
go of "Christianity" and practice the original Hebrew
teachings...which are under the Law?!? He also doesn't mention
anything about the "white" people being "in the loop" anymore. Most
all of his teachings is Old Testament so far. What does scripture
say about "us" and the original Hebrews in the end day, and as far
as making it to heaven???
[Excerpt:]
"JESUS AND JEHOVAH ARE THE NAMES OF THE FATHER AND SON, Jesus
and Jehovah are not the names of the father and son. These names
come from the adversary Satan. [....]
[....]
"George Rawlinson, an English author wrote a book entitled
History of Egypt. On page 252, he gives a description of Seti I.
He states: "SETI'S FACE WAS THOROUGHLY AFRICAN. HE HAD A STORMY
FACE WITH A DEPRESSED FLAT NOSE, THICK LIPS AND HEAVY CHIN."
"Moses had the same
physical characteristics because again, he was raised in the
house of Pharaoh, as the grandson of Pharaoh, when Pharaoh
ordered all Hebrew males to be killed at birth. If the
Israelites were a white-skinned people, how could Moses the
Hebrew survive (secretly) in the house of Pharaoh among
black-skinned Egyptians for 40 years, and not be noticed.
"19 And they said, An
Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also
drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.
"Notice they didn't say a
Hebrew in Egyptian clothing saved us, they described Moses as a
black-skinned descendant of Ham (Egyptian).
[.... blah, blah, blah]"
Answer:
Hello. Thanks for the article that you sent. I know that you did not write
it, but merely passed it on to me for comment.
Moses was not Black, Jesus was not Black, and God is not Black. When
will it ever end!?! This is all an attempt to lure Black people away from
Christianity. It is Afro-centricity like Farrakhan's (Sp?), that tries to,
with pride, lure Black people away from Christianity and into hell.
Your first red flag should have been when you noticed, as you said: "What
is confusing is his teaching that we are to let go of "Christianity"
and practice the original Hebrew teachings".
In other words, according to that teacher, Christ died in vain. The
whole First Advent of Jesus Christ, the Crucifixion of Messiah, Christ's
Resurrection, and the the whole of the 27 books of the New Testament are to
be thrown out so that some racist Blacks can pretend that they are the
original Hebrew people of the Old Testament? What a shame! I
sense an antichristian Judaic in the woodpile here somewhere in the
background regarding this blasphemous anti-Christian anti-God anti-Israel
teaching. Substitution seems to be the watch word of the day; for,
likewise do we see the so-called Jews of today pretend to be the Israel
peoples of the Bible. The enemy is ever trying to suppress the
identify of true Israel (the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic and kindred
peoples who are descended from the 12 (not just 10 of them)
tribes of Israel and settled Europe and moved on into North America).
It is somewhat "funny" that the racist impulse
of some Blacks is being used to make them reject God's written Word, the
Bible, by making of themselves God's chosen; but the author of the foolish
teachings is in effect practicing racism against these several racist
Blacks. I refer to the author's statement:
"they described Moses as a black-skinned
descendant of Ham (Egyptian)"
What he is referring to is the false teaching
that Noah's son Ham was punished for sinning against Noah―by
God making his (ham's son Canaan) his (Canaan's) descendants Negros. That is a total lie, and it
is racism against Blacks by saying that they are God-cursed! What
feeds into this foolish teaching is that the Egyptians did mix
with the Negro peoples of the region, but that was later on.
At the first, the Egyptians were a homogenous people descended from Ham, who
was descended from Noah, who was himself a long-distant descendant of Adam
from the Garden of Eden.
The Egyptians to Ham to Noah to Adam
Noah is the descendant of Adam:
Genesis 5:3-32
3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a
son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred
years: and he begat sons and daughters:
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years:
and he died.
6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: . . . .
...21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and
begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred
years, and begat sons and daughters: . . . ....30 And Lamech lived after
he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and
begat sons and daughters:
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven
years: and he died.
Ham is the son of Noah:
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and
Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth. KJV
Ham's descendants settled Egypt. Below we
see a recitation of God's plagues upon Egypt. In it we see that Egypt
is the land of Ham:
Psalms 78:43-51
43 How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders
in the field of Zoan:
44 And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they
could not drink.
45 He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and
frogs, which destroyed them.
46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour
unto the locust.
47 He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with
frost.
48 He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot
thunderbolts.
49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and
indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.
50 He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but
gave their life over to the pestilence;
51 And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their
strength in the tabernacles of Ham: KJV
Ham's people, the Egyptians, had brought Israel
into bondage before the above happened. In the below, we see that
Egypt is used interchangeably with Ham's land, just
as Israel is used interchangeably with Jacob's people.
"Israel" is Jacob's people, all twelve tribes of them; for, God changed
Jacob's name to Israel and then called all his descendants "Israel."
Likewise, observe that Egypt is to Ham as Israel is to
Jacob:
Psalms 105:23-27
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob
sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 And he [God]
increased his people [Israel/Jacob]
greatly; and made them stronger than their
enemies [Egyptians/Ham].
25 He [God] turned
their [Egyptians/Ham]
heart to hate his people
[Israel/Jacob], to deal
subtilly with his servants [Israel/Jacob].
26 He [God] sent
Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27 They [Moses & Aaron]
shewed his [God's]
signs among them [Egypt],
and wonders in the land of Ham. KJV
What the author of the reader's article & false teaching is unaware of,
is that the first Egyptians were a white people.
Later on they began to mix with the indigenous Blacks, which proceeded their
downfall. Through statues and paintings we see that the early Pharaohs
were White; later on in statues and paintings of latter Pharaohs we began to
see the racial mixing in the later dynasties. In other words, the
early White Pharaohs began to take wives of the native Black people around
the area.
The article that you sent is so full of fundamental flaws that it would
take all day to identify and correct them all.
Regarding Moses, he was chastised by his brother and sister for marrying
an Ethiopian (Black) woman; this would not be so had Moses himself been a
Negro:
Numbers 12:1
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian
woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. KJV
Moses was descended from Levi, the priest line of the twelve tribes of
Israel. Moses was a pure Levite; he was of the tribe of Levi on both his
mother and his father's side. Below, we also observe that the Bible is
quite clear that Moses was a Hebrew, not a Negro, or Egyptian,
or Chinaman, or anything else:
Exodus 2:1-11
2:1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and
took to wife a daughter of Levi.
2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he
was a goodly child, she hid him three months.
3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of
bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child
therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river;
and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the
ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe
wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the
Hebrews' children.
7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and
call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the
child for thee?
8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and
called the child's mother.
9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse
it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child,
and nursed it.
10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and
he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because
I drew him out of the water.
11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went
out unto his brethren, and looked on their
burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one
of his brethren. KJV
Peace to you in Christ Jesus.

How to figure the exact day which
Christians are to observe Passover (Easter otherwise called in the
churches)
A Reader Writes:
Good morning,
I follow Shepherds Chapel, but I think I missed
something in this years Passover? Maybe I had a
short circuit or something. Maybe the web
confused me and shame, shame on me if I fell for
their info.... I figured the Passover to fall on
April 5th through the 8th? Is this correct?
Thanks for your help..........
Xxxxxx
Answer:
Hello. We get this
question a lot at about this time every year. Here is how you
can figure the exact day of Passover for this and any other
year. Simply stated: the Passover is on the 14th
day after the Spring Equinox, the day of the Spring
Equinox being counted as the first day. Passover day
in 2006 for us Christians is on Sunday, April 2nd.
Below is the Biblical formula:
The Hebrew calendar marks the first day, of the first month of
the year, as the exact day of the Spring (Vernal) Equinox, which
is the day in Spring when night is as long as day. There is one
other Equinox, in Fall, called the Autumn Equinox; which is
irrelevant to this matter.
In other words, on the day that there are 12 hours of night and
12 hours of day (happens on only two days/nights per year) the
Hebrew calendar starts for that year, and is in effect like our
January 1st on our calendar.
The Spring (Vernal) Equinox of 2006 is on/at March 20th,
1:26 PM Eastern Standard Time:
"...2006...
VERNAL EQUINOX.....(SPRING)
MAR 20 2006 126 PM EST - 1826 UTC
SUMMER SOLSTICE....(SUMMER) JUN 21
2006 726 AM EST - 1226 UTC
AUTUMNAL EQUINOX...(FALL) SEP 22
2006 1103 PM EST - 0403 UTC SEP 23
WINTER SOLSTICE....(WINTER) DEC 21
2006 722 PM EST - 0022 UTC DEC 22"

Observatory, Astronomical Applications Department.

Confirmed at: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/
The
day of Passover (which marks the beginning of the seven-day
feast of Unleavened Bread) is on exactly the 14th
day after the Spring Equinox. Documentation:
Leviticus 23:1-8
23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses,
saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel,
and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which
ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my
feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the
seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye
shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in
all your dwellings.
4 These are the feasts of the LORD,
even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their
seasons.
5 In the fourteenth day of the
first month at even is the LORD's passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same
month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven
days ye must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall
have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work
therein.
8 But ye shall offer an offering made
by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day
is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work
therein. KJV
Also note (as seen
also in verse five above) that the Hebrew day starts at "even"
(sundown), just like our "day" starts at 12:01AM
the night before, not at sunrise that morning. So that Passover
really begins on the night of April 1st, at sundown
(which is what, 7-8 PM?); the
day of April 2nd being the daylight portion of that
first day (April 3rd beginning at sundown April 2nd
by the Hebrew calendar reckoning).
Now, since, in the
year of our Lord 2006, the Spring (Vernal) Equinox is on Sunday,
March 20th, at 1:26PM,
but the Hebrew day starts the night before at sundown―the
Hebrew first day is actually on Saturday, March 19th
at sundown. Passover begins on the 14th day of that
first month; i.e., on Saturday, April 1st, at
sundown; or, by our days, on Sunday April 2nd.
Therefore, Passover day for us is on Sunday, April 2nd
(as we reckon the night to end and the day to begin at
12:01AM).
Confusing? Easy to
make a mistake at to the exact day? Don't worry: In Numbers
chapter 9 we also see that if a man had a good reason why he
couldn’t keep the Passover on the 14th day of the
first month, he was allowed to keep it on the 14th
day of the second month.
Numbers 9:10-11
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of
you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a
dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall
keep the passover unto the LORD.
11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even
they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and
bitter herbs. KJV
So the particular
day was not as important as the fact that they did keep
the Passover.
The Shepherds
Chapel church celebrates Passover on the nearest weekend to the
actual date because of the fact that their ministry's
congregation is spread out all over the nation (and abroad) and
most people travel to get there, and travel arraignments are
much easier on the weekends when many people are already off of
work. This year that happens to fall at the right time, and the
Shepherds Chapel event is on Saturday and Sunday, April 1st
& 2nd; but some years it is not on the exact date of
the Passover, as Passover can be on different dates on our
Calendar each year, and does not always fall on a weekend.
Hope that helps.
What may have
confused you, is that apparently, for whatever reason, the Jews
celebrate the Passover out of season. "Their Passover," from
several Jewish sources including the below, falls on Wednesday,
April 12th. This is in direct contradiction with what is
written in Leviticus 23:5 by Moses, whom they claim to follow:
Leviticus 23:5
5 In
the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's
passover. KJV
My presumption is
that there is some conflict as to when the Jew's start their
calendar, but I don't know what their problem is for sure. Nor
should we care for their feast days, for they are not our feast
days―their god is not our
God. Or, as Moses testified against them: "For
their rock is not as our Rock, even
our enemies themselves being judges." (Deut 32:31). For,
our God, the only true God, came in the flesh in the name of
Jesus Christ to keep His promise and save His children―the
Jew's god had no such Son (nor did the Muslim's Allah).
Christian's feast days ought to be reckoned by the Holy Bible.
Let antichristians do what they will, when they will―it
is of no consequence to the Christian.
On Judgement day,
Passover will be the least of the worries to those who had
denied Jesus Christ, and thus denied for themselves eternal
life. Let them "play holy" all they want―it
is far from holy to kill the Messiah of the Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ, and then to gloat about for 2,000 years in their
Synagogues. If the Jews of today are damned, it is because they
each individually damned themselves by denying
God's promised Savior, Jesus Christ, which Moses wrote of to
come:
Deuteronomy 18:15
15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from
the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me;
unto him ye shall hearken; KJV
And not only Moses, but all the Prophets, even the prophets that
the Jews esteem, spoke of this Messiah:
Isaiah 7:13-14
13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small
thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold,
a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call
his name Immanuel. KJV
Fulfilled in Jesus
Christ:
Matthew 1:22-25
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which
being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel
of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn
son: and he called his name JESUS. KJV
This same Christ
Jesus, speaking with all authority of the Heavenly Father, the
Lord God of the Bible, "And Jesus came and
spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven
and in earth" (Mat 28:18), states unapologetically and
unambiguously: "Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6).
Therefore, if you love a Jew, preach to him Christ Jesus, as
Apostle Paul and others gave their lives doing. To placate a
Jew (or Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, etc.) and to allow him to
errantly believe that he can get to Heaven by any other way than
Jesus Christ, is to hate that man―for
it is to sit quietly while they err unto eternal death. A true
friend of a Jew or other non-Christian is one who tells them the
hard truth plainly and without yield. Ecumenism is satan's tool
to keep men damned; and all Christians who practice it are
servants of sin and evil, not servants of God and Christ.
Christians who practice this (co-fellowship and implied
acceptance with other non-Christian religions) are going to
answer most terribly for it on that Final Day when all men must
give account before the Lord.
Nevertheless, the
Judaic's 2006 Passover is:
[ERROR!]:
"PASSOVER 2006, [Jewish
year]
5766:
First Seder - Night of Wednesday, April
12
First Day - Thursday, April 13
Second Seder - Night of Thursday, April 13
Second Day - Friday, April 14
Seventh Day - Wednesday, April 19
Eighth Day - Thursday, April 20"

Internet." Verification link: http://www.kashrut.com/Passover/
But as stated
earlier, the exact day is not as important as that whether or
not one celebrates Passover. But then, since after Christ was
once offered, He became our Passover; therefore, the Jew's
Passover is void; for, they deny Jesus Christ (to their own
destruction), and thus have no Passover at all.
1 Corinthians 5:6-8
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little
leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new
lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our
passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with
old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and
wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and
truth. KJV
Peace to you in Christ
Jesus.

A defense of the King James Bible's use of the word "Easter"
in Acts 12:4, and thereby; a defense of the King James version Bible itself
The Greek word pascha
appears 29 times in the manuscripts of the King James Bible's New Testament
(the Textus Receptus; i.e., the "Received Text"). On 28 of
these occurrences, the word was translated to "Passover;" however, on one
lone occasion that word was translated to "Easter." This has caused
quite a controversy.
Much ado has been made by
Christians of the King James Bible's translation of pascha in Acts 12:4 to
"Easter," instead of "Passover," which it was translated to the other 28 times
pascha appeared in the New Testament manuscripts. Based upon this, the
King James Bible has been vilified as having a corruption in it.
However, as we
shall see from the below article, the King James translators were actually
correct in their choice of the word "Easter" over Passover in this
place.
Easter/Passover:
Greek word #3957 pascha (pas'-khah); of Aramaic origin
[compare OT:6453]; the Passover (the meal, the day, the festival or the
special sacrifices connected with it): KJV - Easter, Passover.

Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994,

Many Christians are told that
Easter is a pagan holiday and that they should not observe it. We have
several articles on Easter/Passover on our Website, some of which are as follows:
What Christians should really call
"Easter" is Passover, that is what Christ and Paul called it in the New
Testament:
Luke 22:15
15 And he [Jesus]
said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you
before I suffer: KJV
1 Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye
are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
KJV
An interesting anomaly:
However, after the Crucifixion, the only time that Passover was mentioned
was in the above, where Christ was called our Passover. After that,
the word is found only one more time in the Bible, that being in the below
verse where Paul is speaking of the faithful men of old:
Hebrews 11:28-30
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest
he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the
Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed
about seven days. KJV
What can be gleaned by this odd
fact is uncertain, but it appears that, in Scripture at least, that the
Passover was not celebrated by the early Apostles after Christ's
resurrection; or, if it was celebrated, it is not mentioned specifically
(which is entirely possible). Perhaps they could not keep the Passover
because of the great persecutions that they were under by the Jews.
However, God had ordained Passover as an eternal celebration, to be kept
forever:
Exodus 12:11-14
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your
feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is
the LORD's passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite
all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against
all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye
are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague
shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep
it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a
feast by an ordinance for ever. KJV
Nevertheless, the day
(Easter/Passover) is still the same for well-grounded Christians who
would never practice pagan activities. The reason that Christians call
it Easter is so that it is not confused with the Jew's Passover celebration.
The Jews are still celebrating being preserved from the death angel in Egypt, the original
Passover; which became associated with the liberation from Egyptian
captivity. And by denying Jesus Christ, the Judaics of today do not celebrate the new meaning
of Passover: "For even Christ our
passover is sacrificed for us" (1 Cor 5:7).
Therefore, Christians needed to call their Passover
by another name different than the Jew's Passover. This is
understandable, as far as I am concerned.
But what of this
word Easter in Acts 12:4? Did the king James version translators make
a mistake? Oddly enough, as some may feel; no, they did not make a mistake.
Observe below.
The below
article was not authored by Watchmen Bible Study Group. We
offer it here for It's value in explaining a matter that touches on the
Christian churches and their celebrations, and offers an excellent defense for the trustworthy King
James Bible. And being that I am a stanch proponent of the King James
Bible only controversy (KJO), I feel this well-written and documented
article deserves to be shared here (I do not know the author).
ALLEGED KJV
ERRORS: Easter/Passover
By Missionary/Evangelist David Terrell
Many claim that the King James Version has serious 'errors' in
it. The most quoted 'error' concerns the use of the word
Easter in Acts 12:1-4. The original word, these believers maintain,
should have been translated as Passover - not Easter! Let
us now examine the passage concerned and see if that argument holds
water.
| Acts 12:1-4
|
Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands
to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of
John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he
proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of
unleavened bread.) And when he had apprehended him, he put
him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers
to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the
people. |
To properly understand the sequence of events described above I will
briefly explain some facts about the sacred calendar.
- The first Passover occurred in ancient Egypt when
Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews spared the lives of
Israel's eldest sons and slaughtered the firstborn of Egypt. That
event took place on the evening (night) of the 14th Abib
(Nisan), the first month in the sacred calendar. The Passover, which
is an event rather than a day, is now commemorated each year on the
evening of the same date. The story is well known and is recorded in
Exodus chapters 11 and 12.
- After the Passover came the seven days of Unleavened Bread.
The week of unleavened bread begins on the evening of the 14th
Abib and finishes on the evening of the 21st Abib. This
whole week is sometimes referred to as the Passover week:
but, strictly speaking, its proper name is Week of
Unleavened Bread. When the Passover and the days
of unleavened bread are mentioned in the same passage, as in
Acts 12:1-4, we can be certain that the Passover refers to
the event which occurs on the evening of the 14th
Abib and the days of unleavened bread refer to the week that
follows. (i.e. 15-21st Abib or Nisan).
The events recorded in Acts 12:3-4 occurred during the days of
unleavened bread. In other words, the Passover in that
particular year had passed: it was history: it had gone. Why, then,
would Herod wait for an event which had already passed? Surely
Herod knew that the Passover had passed and that the days of unleavened
bread were in progress.
What, then, was Herod really waiting for before releasing Peter? The
answer is: Herod was waiting for Easter to come and go - just as the
King James Version says. We can be confident that the translators of
the KJV knew full well why in this passage they rendered the word 'Pesah'
as 'Easter' and not 'Passover' as at other times.
Their combined knowledge of Hebrew and Greek and the vast amount of
manuscript evidence before them (thousands of copies, versions, and
church-father citations etc.) were all used to arrive at
every word in the King James Version. Are we, whose knowledge of
these languages is microscopic by comparison, to challenge their
judgment? The fact is that Herod, during the days of unleavened
bread, was not waiting for the Passover - which had come and gone:
he was waiting for Easter just as the KJV says.
The events in our story tell us that:
- The Passover in that particular year was history.
- The Days of Unleavened Bread (15th - 21st
Abib) were in progress.
- And Easter was approaching: after which Herod planned to
bring out Peter.
The question now arises: Was the pagan festival of Easter
known at that time? And were the Romans keeping Easter? The answer is -
yes. The pagan festival of Easter, with its hot cross buns
and Easter Sunday sunrise services was well known in ancient Babylon and
Rome centuries before the events recorded in Acts 12. Let me quote a
short passage about EASTER from Alexander Hislop's book The
Two Babylons. (ISBN 0 7136 0470 0)
| Quote:
|
"Then look at Easter. What means the term Easter
itself? It is not a Christian name. It bears its Chaldean origin
on its forehead. Easter is nothing else than Astarte, one of
the titles of Beltis, the QUEEN OF HEAVEN, whose name, as
pronounced by the people of Nineveh, was evidently identical
with that now in common use in this country. That name, as found
by Layard on the Assyrian monuments, is Ishtar. The
worship of Bel and Astarte was very early introduced into
Britain, along with the Druids, "the priests of the groves"
(page 103)
|
No scholar doubts the fact that Easter is a pagan festival
which came down from ancient times, long before the Christian era. The
next question is: Did some Israelites keep Easter and worship the
QUEEN OF HEAVEN? Did they bake hot cross buns for Ishtar -
Easter? The answer, surprisingly, is again - yes! Ancient
Israel worshipped the Queen of Heaven - ISHTAR and they honoured
her each year with special cakes (buns) and drink offerings. I quote
Scripture:
| Jeremiah 7:18
|
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire,
and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen
of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods,
that they may provoke me to anger.
|
| Jeremiah 44: 18
|
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of
heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have
wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by
the famine. 19: And when we burned incense to the queen of
heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make
her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings
unto her, without our men? 20: Then Jeremiah said unto all the
people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people
which had given him that answer, saying, 21: The incense that ye
burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem,
ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the
people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it
not into his mind? 22: So that the LORD could no longer bear,
because of the evil of your doings, and because of the
abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a
desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an
inhabitant, as at this day.
23: Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned
against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor
walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies;
therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day. 24:
Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the
women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land
of Egypt: 25: Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel,
saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and
fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our
vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of
heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will
surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
|
Oh yes, many ancient Israelites kept Easter. Modern Israelis
still do. In summary we can say that when Herod, after the Passover and
during the days of unleavened bread shut up Peter intending to bring him
out after Easter, Herod meant exactly what the King James Version
is saying. He meant Easter not Passover which had already come
and gone. This means that every translation which uses the word
Passover in Acts 12:3-4 is, strictly speaking, incorrect. Easter
is the correct word, and the King James Version uses it.

How to witness to unsaved loved-ones
A
(female) Reader Writes:
Hi, I would like to thank you for a great
and inspirational site. I watch Shepherd’s Chapel
[http://www.shepherdschapel.com]
every day, I was lost for sometime and now am happy to be home,
or basically, I was a mess… but now have a husband and BEAUTIFUL
3 year old so everything is falling into place. I bought a KJV
bible [King
James Compact Giant Print Bible] and read it
at night but I am SO lost. Help! Would you recommend the
companion bible and if so which one? When I listen to Pastor
Murray or read your site everything makes sense, but when I read
my bible alone I do not understand and I feel ashamed but want
to read!
My second question is how do I get to my
little brother who says he doesn’t believe in God? It breaks my
heart as well as everyone in our family, if he were your
brother, how would you begin to talk to him, he’s so smart,
but…..ah! I just want for him to go to Heaven, and I value your
opinion. Thank you my friend! God bless you, Xxxxxx
Answer:
Hello Mrs. Xxxx, here is the large print version (easier to read, but it
is the size of large dictionary). It is also the cheapest that I have
ever seen it. I have seen ministries charge $100.00 for the same book.
This is exactly the same as the standard size Companion Bible,
it even uses the same "printing plates," only enlarging them:
Companion
Bible (Large print edition):
(Highly Recommended!) The text of the King James
Bible (New size, same printing plates, same content as the regular
size version). This is a larger print version of the original. The
same printing plates were used and the text is identical except that
it is larger and easier on the eyes. Here is an invaluable reference
Bible for access to vast amounts of collateral historical
information. It was put together by E. W. Bullinger in the late
1800's. It contains the text of the King James Bible with a right
hand column packed full of tidbits of information seldom found
anywhere else. It also has 198 appendixes that are full of "must
read" information. The parallel column in the Old Testament contain
notes taken from the Massorah (compiled by Ginsburg, but written
during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah) that are pertinent to the
understanding of the Scripture. At this time the Companion Bible is
the only source for the English reader of the Massoretic text. This
work will help you to discover what, "Thus saith the Lord"
and why. (Approx. $46) For a picture of a page {Gen
1:1-8} from the Companion Bible, go to:
Companion Bible Page.
You asked:
"My second question is how do I get to my little brother who
says he doesn’t believe in God? It breaks my heart as well as
everyone in our family, if he were your brother, how would you
begin to talk to him, he’s so smart, but…..ah! I just want for
him to go to Heaven"
Prayer, Mrs. Xxxx, prayer. For, "...The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
" (James 5:16b). Also, you can just let him know that you are
there if he ever has any questions. But, sometimes "pushing it on
people" too much may drive them away. It's a delicate balance. But
always let him know that you believe, and that your world-view is shaped
by your faith in Jesus Christ. And, as shall happen to us all
sometimes, If he asks something that you do not know, or that you are
somewhat unclear-on yourself―then be
honest and tell him that you are unsure―he
will respect that answer more than a half-answer or a topic-changer
answer, or God forbid: a made-up answer!
None of us has all the answers; being a Christian doesn't mean that
you can prove everything that you believe; but rather, that you
believe what God has written for us in His Bible―even
though we cannot always prove nor understand everything perfectly. Is
it not even written regarding that?:
Hebrews 11:1
11:1 Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen. KJV
It is this faith that pleased God, covered sins, and saved good men
made perfect:
Hebrews 11:1-6
11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more
excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he
was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead
yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should
not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:
for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased
God.
6 But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
KJV
Then, the wise prayer―is the
prayer for faith. For, even the Apostles, who walked with Christ,
talked face to face with Him, witness for themselves the miracles―they
asked for themselves that Jesus increase their faith. Therefore,
it is no shame to ask God to increase our own faith, and the faith of
unbelieving loved-ones:
Luke 17:5
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord,
Increase our faith. KJV
But with the so-called "intelligent men, scholars, and the
wise of this world", this faith―which pleases God―is foolishness
to them.
1 Corinthians 1:14-25
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you,
but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in
mine own name.
16 And I baptized also the household of
Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to
preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of
Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is
to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is
the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy
the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding
of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe?
where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made
foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the
world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of
preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks
seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the
Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews
and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is
wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
KJV
To them, the so-called wise of this world, they must see
to believe. But, seeing is never believing,
seeing is knowing; for, where is "belief "
excercised
where evidence is seen?
John 20:27-29
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy
finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust
it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My
Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas,
because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:
blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have
believed. KJV
And since it is impossible to please God without faith, then of what
good does proofs and evidences to the eye do for the soul of a man?
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him. KJV
And in your witnessing, never yield regarding the
reality of Jesus Christ, God, and His written Word; never
compromise truth to win a convert. But also be kind and gentle. You
needn't correct a person's every misunderstanding all in the same one
day, else you will appear to be attacking them; and they may also become
afraid to |
